Research


1. Advanced optical manufacturing and measurement technology. This direction is initialed in the 1950s; the researchers persist on key issues about optical elements fabrication and conduct abundant study on fundamental and application technologies. In recent years, the researchers in our school devote into the requirement for fundamental elements and many achievements came up. More than 20 innovation patents were published and 6 state and province level awards were obtained.

     

2. Micro-nano material and device fabrication technology. Researchers persist on high-performance infrared imaging and detector, novel imaging optical device and micro photo detecting system and conducted fundamental and application research. The researchers were rewarded funds including Europe Collaboration, NSFC and other province level research projects. More than 20 innovation patents were published and 4 province level awards were obtained.

    

3. Film and plasma technology. Regarding the need of infrared film device, the researcher in our school proposed the technology of optical film fabrication utilizing ion beam and plasma. Several plasma machines were developed including pulse plasma source, non-equilibrium magnet sputtering, plasma enhanced Hall source and dual-beam sputtering plasma source. High-performance film was developed and applied nationwide. We conducted 9 state research projects and obtained 3 province level awards. Several international collaborative programs were accomplished including “plasma film deposition technology” and “high frequency plasma source development and application”. Our school also organized series international academic conferences on film and plasma technology.

     

4. Precision optoelectronic measurement. Researchers devote themselves into optical design, complex components precision measurement, 3D profile measurement and screen array measurement. They focus on the design theory and methods on optical and photoelectronic instrument, aiming to improve optical information obtaining technology and dynamic measurement technology. 3 state and province level awards were obtained and 12 province level projects conducted. The achievements are applied at home and abroad.
